Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Programme Management Professional to join our team in Manchester, Birmingham, or Derby. As a key member of our programme management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing project controls strategies and processes aligned to client and project requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project controls strategies and processes aligned to client and project requirements.
  • Integrate and challenge planning, commercial, engineering, construction, and risk teams to develop and implement appropriate processes, data, and performance measurement techniques.
  • Ensure project baselines (scope, schedule, estimates, and risk) are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work with data analysts to develop forward-looking performance metrics and dashboards using MS Power BI.
  • Identify trends, efficiencies, and opportunities for efficiencies utilizing internal D2 benchmarking data tools and technologies.
  • Communicate programme performance to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Lead a team of project controls professionals driving a high-performing team.
  • Provide innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Member of a relevant professional body with chartered status (or working towards this) and/or educated to degree level.
  • Experience of programme/project controls on large multidisciplinary projects.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of programme performance elements, including scope and change, cost engineering, planning, risk, benefits, data, and performance management.
  • Experience of applying performance measurement techniques to the programme.
  • Working knowledge of Primavera P6, Oracle Cloud, Acumen, and MS Power BI.
  • Experience of working on UK infrastructure projects and of baseline management.
  • Experience of NEC contracts and change control environments.
Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary (£80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience) and a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, private healthcare, group life insurance, and enhanced family leave.
