Clinical Co-ordinator for Outpatient Cancer Services

Exciting opportunity to join the University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust, a leading acute Trust in the country with over 13,000 staff and 100 different clinical services across 10 sites.
We are seeking a highly motivated and patient-focused Clinical Co-ordinator to provide day-to-day management of outpatient clinics, new patient referrals, and waiting lists in our Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre.
This role requires effective communication, organisational, and time management skills to support triaging of referrals, manage patient communications, and escalate queries to relevant clinical staff.
The successful candidate will be a caring and professional individual who can act with resilience to deal with distressed patients and relatives, and demonstrate a positive attitude and commitment to personal development and service improvement.
We offer a competitive salary of approximately £30,500 per annum, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for training and professional development within our forward-thinking and award-winning Trust.

The Clinical Co-ordinator will work alongside other clinic coordinators, chemotherapy booking coordinators, medical secretaries, and clerical officers to ensure excellent customer service and efficient service provision.
Key responsibilities include:
- To support the triaging of referrals by liaising with key clinical staff
- Manage patient communications via telephone and through Trust systems to create letters, emails, and text reminders
- To act as a point of contact for queries from clinical and non-clinical staff
- Liaise with clinical and non-clinical teams across the Trust via telephone and email
- Escalate patient queries, capacity problems, and general issues to the line manager or relevant clinical staff as appropriate
