Contract Commercial Paralegal Role

We're seeking a skilled Contract Commercial Paralegal to join our team at Checkout Group. As a key member of our Legal team, you'll play a vital role in supporting our business growth and success.

About the Role

As a Contract Commercial Paralegal, you'll be responsible for providing expert support to our Legal team and business stakeholders. Your primary focus will be on contract negotiations, management, and process improvement. You'll work closely with our internal teams, including Products, Compliance, Finance, and Treasury, to ensure seamless collaboration and effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Legal team with contract negotiations, management, and process improvement
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of training programs for colleagues
  • Flag new legal developments and assess their impact on our business
  • Conduct research on multi-jurisdictional legal issues
  • Support strategic projects and initiatives with creative, proactive, and results-oriented advice
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Prior in-house experience as a legal professional (3+ years)
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to handle a large workload
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work at pace and juggle competing priorities
  • Demonstrate excellent critical judgment, quick thinking, and agility
