Capital Markets Recruitment is seeking an experienced Trading Systems Administrator to support and maintain third-party systems and trading system applications for a major Quantitative Hedge fund.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a crucial role in optimizing the firm's trading systems and processes and work with skilled Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Developers.

This role allows you to join a leading hedge fund, collaborate with an exceptionally talented team operating in a hybrid approach, and earn market-leading compensation packages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure seamless trading operations.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for technical issue resolution and system upgrades to maintain system integrity.
  • Implement and maintain automation tools and scripts to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Assist in developing and implementing DevOps best practices to enhance system reliability and scalability.
  • Participate in system upgrades and migrations to ensure business continuity.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and transfer.

Desirable Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in a similar role within the financial industry, preferably hedge funds or asset management.
  • Experience in vendor relationship management, contract negotiations, and SLA management.
  • Proficiency in administering third-party vendor systems (e.g., trading platforms, risk management systems). Experience with Orchestrade, Geneva, or Tradeweb is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible preferred).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or PowerShell).
  • CQF Certification is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical teams, traders, portfolio managers, and vendors.
