Grounds Assistant Job Description

At Swift Resources Ltd, we are seeking a skilled Grounds Assistant to join our team at St Audries Park. As a Grounds Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the beauty and charm of our country manor wedding venue in Somerset.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the grounds and formal gardens of our exclusive wedding venue, ensuring they are always looking their best.
  • Carry out a range of horticultural practices, including weeding, pruning, planting, lawn mowing, hedge cutting, edging, and vegetable growing using a polytunnel.
  • Resolve any day-to-day issues or guest damage and breakdowns.
  • Work on a rota basis to provide weekend cover.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably with 2 years' experience in gardens or grounds.
  • Ability to drive or have access to transport due to the location of our venues.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a good knowledge of general gardening and a passion for looking after our grounds. If you have a keen eye for detail and are able to work independently, we would love to hear from you.
