Mechanical Design Engineer - A Key Role for a Pharmaceutical Manufacturer
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Liverpool. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical engineering aspects of complex machinery to meet project specifications and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Confer with engineers, customers, and other stakeholders to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
- Design, implement, maintain, and improve process equipment, components, products, and systems.
- Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
- Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with mechanical specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
- Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish process compliance relating to site installations, industry standards, and specifications.
- Prepare specifications for the purchase of mechanical materials and equipment.
- Prepare and study technical drawings and specifications to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Experience within a similar role.
- Manufacturing processes and understanding.
- SolidWorks (desirable).
- Pharmaceutical or pressure vessel experience (desirable).
- Excellent communication and organisation skills.
- Problem-solving.
- Excellent IT skills, including MS Office.
Remuneration:
Salary dependent on experience, likely £35k-£40k.
