Senior Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Advanced Practitioner to join our Urgent Treatment Centre team as a Senior Clinical Professional. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare and information to the public, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote effective patient care.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Act as a senior clinical professional within the Urgent Treatment Centre, liaising with the UTC team and colleagues across the wider health and social care environment to promote, maintain and enhance effective multidisciplinary patient care.
- Provide advice to patients and staff, contributing to assessment, diagnosis, care and treatment of clients.
- Exercise professional independent and clinical judgement in managing or referring clients to a variety of primary and secondary care services as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities- Supervise and maintain high standards of professional care in accordance with current NMC Code of Professional Conduct, Scope of Professional Practice and ethical considerations.
- Provide a supportive environment for staff, take responsibility for and perform in clinical supervision and personal development planning.
- Assist the Clinical Lead/Operational Manager in shaping and developing a nurse-led service, which is welcoming and effective to the needs of service users.
- Registered Nurse (Adult) or Paramedic Practitioner/AHP qualification.
- Leadership experience and clinical examination skills at Level 7.
- Non-medical prescribing qualification (V300) or working towards.
- Experience in leadership and management of long-term conditions.
- Minor illness and minor injury course.
- Clinical diagnostic skills at Level 6/7.
- Relevant and recent experience of A&E and Walk-in Centre/Urgent Care Centre/Urgent Treatment Centre.
- Experience of handling emotive situations frequently, such as imparting news around a patient's care which may be unwelcome and result in challenging behaviour.
- The ability to travel independently across the Trust.
- The ability to work flexibly in accordance with service needs.
