Your Role in Our Mission:

We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join our team at Normal Computing Corporation. As a key member of our mission, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge machine learning applications across various aspects of our business.

  1. Contribute to AI projects from concept to production deployment.
  2. Design and build systems using large language models to process complex technical documents.
  3. Develop solutions for multi-modal data handling (PDFs, logs, tables).
  4. Solve challenging AI and software engineering problems.
  5. Work with other teams to integrate AI into our products.
  6. Create robust AI evaluation frameworks.
  7. Develop strategies to manage AI-specific challenges (latency, variance, errors).
  8. Keep up with AI advancements, especially in language models and multi-modal AI.

What Makes You A Great Fit:

  1. Experience with engineering projects, ideally related to ML or AI.
  2. Strong software engineering skills, especially with distributed systems.
  3. Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, Hugging Face).
  4. Experience with prompt engineering and deploying language models.
  5. Ability to handle and preprocess large, diverse datasets.
  6. Understanding of AI safety and responsible development.
  7. Knowledge of AI evaluation and benchmarking.
  8. Clear communication of complex AI concepts.

  1. Experience deploying AI in production environments.
  2. Cloud platform knowledge for AI deployment.
  3. Familiarity with advanced AI techniques (few-shot learning, meta-learning).
  4. Open-source AI contributions or relevant publications.
  5. Ability to balance AI innovation with production-ready systems.
  6. Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving AI landscape.

Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience.
