Working Patterns: Rotating Shifts
We are seeking a skilled and qualified individual to join our team as a Contract Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer at a fast-paced multi-site manufacturer in the FMCG industry. The ideal candidate will have an electrical bias and mechanical competence, with experience in FMCG manufacturing and packaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- To service, adjust, and repair process and production machinery and equipment using the necessary tools in a safe and proper manner
- To examine machinery and equipment and report on condition, performance, and plan of action for improvements
- To carry out planned and preventative maintenance to agreed schedules
- To work as part of a team to maintain the site's operations at World Class Standards
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or similar manufacturing
- Or equivalent qualifications in electrical or mechanical fields, preferably with a manufacturing background
The successful candidate will be a competent electrical engineering professional with technical experience, able to solve problems and work with PLC/automation systems. They will also be capable of contributing to the development, manufacture, commissioning, decommissioning, operation, or maintenance of products, equipment, process, or service.
This is an all-round hands-on maintenance electrical role, including conveyors and processing end-of-line packing. Extensive planned maintenance tasks and organization of the engineering plant are also essential.
