About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Academics Ltd as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in a specialist school for children aged 7-19. The school provides a tailored curriculum for each student through positive reinforcement, focusing on social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with Autism, Asperger's, OCD, Dyslexia, and other learning difficulties
  • Work with a team of therapists, SEN, ABA Tutors, and Mental Health specialists to provide a holistic and positive learning environment
  • Assist in delivering key and personal/functional skills to students
  • Participate in restorative and holistic practices, using pragmatism and positive reinforcement

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with Autism and SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in challenging and sometimes anti-social contexts
  • Understanding of de-escalation techniques and language
