We are offering a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with an excellent pension scheme and generous annual leave.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our vibrant simulation and skills team as a Mental Health Nursing Simulation and Skills Teacher. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the creative design and delivery of specialist mental health nursing simulation and skills, including risk management, mental state assessment, and the development and maintenance of therapeutic relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing skills, knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of mental health nursing students through simulation and skills teaching.
  • Designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating evidence-based teaching materials and resources across various modules and programs of study, with a focus on mental health nursing.
  • Contributing to the planning, design, and development of course and curriculum objectives and materials, ensuring the professional, educational, and clinical credibility of simulated practice components.
  • Supervising, marking, and assessing coursework and examinations, providing feedback to nursing students as part of a module team.
  • Fulfilling the role of personal tutor and academic assessor to a group of mental health nursing students.
