The Compliance Services Representative role is responsible for validating client data, preparing IPT filings, and ensuring internal and statutory deadlines are met. This position requires acquiring a good understanding of clients' needs, delivering exceptional customer service, and proactively addressing issues or delays.

This role involves efficiently collaborating with other departments to address customer requests and compliance issues, such as reclaims, historical submissions, and corrective returns. Key responsibilities include:

  • Validating complex client data using in-house software and confirming tax amounts due to clients
  • Creating accurate IPT returns and associated supporting documentation
  • Ensuring all data is accurate and returns submitted within strict deadlines
  • Identifying, prioritizing, and resolving client compliance and other issues; coordinating with internal departments for timely responses and solutions
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Interacting directly with Sovos clients on a regular basis, building close working relationships
  • Maintaining goals and key measures to ensure progress and alignment with desired business outcomes for clients
  • Attending client meetings as needed
  • Providing assistance to Compliance Services Associates in building domain expertise and resolving client issues
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable revenue authorities and client-specified procedures by adhering to internal policies and procedures
  • Identifying process improvements and suggesting ideas to build internal efficiencies and reduce risk

We seek a talented individual with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience, fluent in English, and proficient in German or Italian (optional). Essential skills include excellent customer service skills, time management, decision-making, and organizational abilities, as well as strong interpersonal and professional communication skills.
