Overview

We are seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Professorship in Biodiversity and Climate Change at the University of Oxford. As a leading academic institution, we offer a dynamic and stimulating environment for research and teaching.

About the Role

This is a full-time position with a combined University and College salary ranging from £55,887 to £75,044 per annum. The salary includes additional benefits such as an annual housing allowance of £11,635, a research allowance of £1,235 per annum, and an additional allowance of £3,155 per annum upon receipt of the title of Full Professor through Recognition of Distinction.

Responsibilities
  • Engage in advanced research, producing high-quality publications of international significance.
  • Teach, supervise, and examine undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Contributing to the organisation and teaching of the undergraduate Geography degree at St Anne's College.
Requirements

Candidates should hold a doctorate in physical geography or a closely related field, have a proven track record of high-quality, internationally recognised research and publications relevant to biodiversity and climate change, and demonstrate evidence of significant and rigorous research plans.
