Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Learning: Deliver engaging and effective teaching strategies to support students' progression towards their academic goals, backed by thorough planning and documentation.
  • Curriculum Development: Develop and use innovative, age-appropriate resources to increase student engagement, incorporating community resources to enrich the learning experience.
  • Assessment and Progression: Take responsibility for the delivery, tracking, and achievement of student qualifications and RARPA outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with tutors, learning support assistants, and other staff members to provide integrated learning experiences across all areas.
  • Student Support: Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that caters to each student's needs and EHCP outcomes, while providing opportunities for growth and challenge to help them succeed in adult life.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: PGCE / CertEd teaching qualification (or equivalent)
  • Subject Knowledge: Level 3 or higher in English and Maths
  • Assessment Qualification: Assessor qualification (D32 / A1 / TAQA) or willingness to work towards this
  • Experience: Proven experience in teaching with strong curriculum knowledge
  • Commitment: A genuine commitment to improving the lives of students, with a passion for promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion
