Are you an experienced strategic project planner looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a skilled Senior Project Planner to join our team at NTT Phase Data Centre in Dagenham East London.

As a Senior Project Planner, you will be responsible for the programming, planning, production controls, reporting, feedback, and mitigation measures. In particular, in the planning and delivery of Data Centres.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership for the planning and coordination processes.
  • Implementing and maintaining the requirements of the Project Business Plan.
  • Ensuring that all programmes are compliant with the Project requirements.
  • Developing and agreeing a logical sequence of events ensuring that the most economical/advantageous construction strategy is adopted.
  • Analysing performance and advising the project team of likely impact and recommending improvements.
  • Ensuring that the construction strategy and any recommended improvements are communicated.
  • Providing leadership, support, and training, and contributing to career development.
  • Coordinating for stakeholders, partners, and supply chain all time-related information.
  • Representing the project/business with all stakeholders.
  • Undertaking additional responsibilities and tasks as required by the project/business.
  • Developing and feedback process improvement.
  • Proactive interaction with other departments.
  • Developing knowledge of strategic planning and project/programme management systems.
  • Understanding how to establish and implement project controls systems on a project to comply with the Laing O'Rourke iGMS and can integrate these with the client system requirements.

Requirements include:

  • Project/programme controls.
  • Project management systems and techniques.
  • Contract planning.
  • Pre-contract planning and work control.
  • P6 and Asta Powerproject Planning Software.
  • Pride in delivering a challenging and ever-changing scheme for the client.
  • Quality and accuracy of work to be of the highest calibre.
  • Able to ascertain which tasks are urgent or important and level of accuracy required.

Qualifications include:

  • HNC/Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar sector-related.
  • CIOB Membership.
  • Project planning experience on building schemes.
  • Developing relationships with client's representatives.
  • Contribution to pre-contact planning, work winning, and processes.
