Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician - Electrical Bias, you will be responsible for maintaining close attendance of the production line to provide engineering solutions and assist in an operational capacity when required.
You will monitor all machines and ancillary plant during production, maintaining notes and relevant log sheets. Ensure that any rectification is followed through to a satisfactory conclusion by effective communication with other members of the engineering team and plant manager.
Key duties include assisting in cold starting, size or product changes, cleaning in place, and running a machine as and when required. You will also follow preventative maintenance/lubrication schedules and liaise with engineering managers regarding spare parts requirements.
Additionally, you will assist with installation work, give assistance to contractors, and ensure site standards are adhered to at all times. Carry out any repair or maintenance work required, ensuring the area or workshop is left in a clean and safe condition.
Provide a detailed handover to the next shift, ensuring all relevant information is passed on and understood. Participate in contributing ideas and completing all tasks to improve plant and equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Achieve and maintain working practices learned on training programmes.
Key Skills / Experience:- Ideal candidate must have experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Apprentice served.
- Electrical bias with supporting qualifications.
- Experience of working within high-volume manufacturing equipment.
