Volunteer Development Specialist

Purpose:
The Volunteer Development Officer will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing a comprehensive volunteering program at Paul's Place (South West), a charity that enhances life for physically disabled adults. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering training programs, supervising volunteers, and developing a pathway for members to volunteer within the organization and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a volunteering program that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Design and deliver training programs for volunteers, focusing on skills development and confidence building.
- Supervise and support volunteers, ensuring they have a positive experience and are equipped to make a meaningful contribution.
- Develop a pathway for members to volunteer within Paul's Place, including recruitment, training, and support.
- Work with the fundraising team to develop income-generating activities and submit funding bids.
- Collaborate with the Head of Operations to plan and deliver activities that support volunteering opportunities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in volunteer management and development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of the charity sector and volunteering best practices.
