As a Strategic Risk Management Specialist at Citi, you will play a critical role in managing Processing Risk within the Payments & Custody related processes. This position requires an individual with strong risk management skills, excellent analytical abilities, and experience in working with financial services industry particularly within Custody services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Develop an understanding of the aggregate Processing Risk profile for Payments & Custody based on risk metrics, SME judgement, and other key indicators. This involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with manual payments and custody processing.
  • Partnership and Collaboration: Partner with 1st line teams to understand how present processing risks are being remediated and identify additional remediation requirements. Collaborate with ORM Coverage to assess and challenge high-risk new activities/business that may increase processing risk.
  • Emerging Risks Identification: Identify emerging risks as it relates to Processing risk and serve as a subject matter expert for processing risks, related risk, and control issues.

This role requires strong analytical skills, ability to communicate complex risk information to stakeholders, and experience in developing and implementing risk management programs. You will work closely with the Operational Risk team to ensure effective implementation of the Processing Risk framework and compliance with the Processing Risk Policy.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of risk and control, risk framework, and policy/governance, as well as experience in working with financial services industry particularly within Custody services. Strong influencer skills and ability to build relationships with first line SMEs while remaining independent and retaining the ability to challenge effectively are essential for this role.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrable Experience: Demonstrable relevant experience with the financial services industry particularly within Custody services.
  • Deep Understanding: Deep understanding of Payments, Asset Servicing, Custody, Treasury & Trade Services, and underlying businesses and supporting functions such as Operations.
  • In-Depth Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of risk and control, risk framework, and policy/governance.
  • Strong Influencer: Strong influencer skills and ability to build relationships with first line SMEs while remaining independent and retaining the ability to challenge effectively.

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
