We are a leading construction company in the UK, seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Warrington. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in managing cost estimation, procurement, and contract negotiation.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

Job Description

  • Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, ensuring financial efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
  • Cost Analysis and Financial Reporting: Conduct cost analysis and financial reporting throughout project lifecycles, providing accurate and timely information to stakeholders.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, securing the best possible terms and conditions.
  • Project Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage project cash flows and budgets, ensuring timely payments and minimizing financial risks.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess commercial risks, developing mitigation strategies to protect the company's interests.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant construction regulations and legislation, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project targets are met, resolving any issues that may arise.

Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is preferred.
  • Full UK driving license.
