Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled A&E Optometrist to join our team at The Boots Company PLC.

Job Description

As an A&E Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional eye care services to patients in urgent need of medical attention. Your primary focus will be on assessing and treating acute eye conditions, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing and diagnosing complex eye conditions, including ocular trauma and uveitis.
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Collaborating with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to strict confidentiality guidelines.
Requirements:
  • PhD or MSc in Optometry from a recognized institution.
  • Current registration with the General Optical Council (GOC) as an optometrist.
  • Advanced training in emergency eye care, preferably with experience in handling complex ocular cases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Salary & Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including:
