Job Overview:

We are seeking an exceptional Health and Safety Advisor to join our highly experienced team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a high standard of Health and Safety across our organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing high-quality risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work in collaboration with Corporate, Hub, and Network teams.
  • Running health and safety projects and conducting site visits for Hubs and Depots as required.
  • Supervising individual risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work through peer review and the Engagement programme.
  • Document control and establishing, monitoring, and controlling miscellaneous H&S projects for the Corporate H&S Team.
  • Producing project monitoring reports and presentations for management.
  • Driving positive safety culture change through employee consultation and engagement programs.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • NCRQ Qualified or holding the NEBOSH Diploma in Applied Health and Safety or working towards such qualifications is preferred.
  • A minimum understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and its supporting legislation.
  • Proven track record in producing high-quality Health and Safety documentation, including Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in various formats.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong IT skills, with experience using Microsoft packages or Google Suite.
