About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Needs Assessor to join our team at Capita. As a Needs Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting structured meetings with individuals to identify appropriate study and support strategies, including Non-Medical Helper (NMH) and travel support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the suitability of assistive technology and offer advice on appropriate hardware, software, and other aids for each individual.
  • Produce formal written needs assessment reports in an appropriate format and in accordance with relevant guidance and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Respond to post-assessment queries received from the customer or relevant Funding Body within the required timeframe.
  • Conduct a review of a customer's needs when requested.

Requirements

  • Exemplary communication skills.
  • Excellent report writing abilities and attention to detail.
  • Extensive knowledge of the DSA funding guidance.
  • An in-depth understanding and current knowledge of a range of relevant Assistive Technology (software and hardware) and its role in addressing challenges across a broad range of disabilities.
  • Adept at working to strict KPIs and producing work of excellent quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve excellent customer outcomes.
