We are seeking a talented Culinary Professional to join our team at the Education Authority. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our students and staff.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including breakfast, lunch, and snacks, using fresh ingredients and following safe food handling practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other culinary staff to plan menus, manage inventory, and ensure efficient service delivery.
Requirements:
- NVQ level 2 in food preparation and cooking or equivalent qualification; OR two years' experience of food preparation and cooking within a catering establishment.
- Knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles and practices.
- Willingness to undertake job-related training and professional development opportunities.
Working Conditions:
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization. This role requires excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
