Bakery Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bakery Supervisor to join our team at City Centre Recruitment. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading the baking team and ensuring the smooth operation of our bakery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the baking team in preparing and baking a variety of products, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
  • Monitor and manage baking times, temperatures, and yields to ensure high-quality products.
  • Accurately weigh ingredients and maintain records, with the ability to lift up to 25kg.
  • Ensure cleanliness of utensils, equipment, and the production area, and manage waste disposal.
  • Record key data, including temperatures, yields, and goods-in information.
  • Operate a forklift to handle deliveries and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the production team to develop new food concepts and improve existing processes.
  • Maintain food safety standards and procedures, and support other areas of production as needed.

Requirements:

  • Essential: Good practical food production experience, ideally in baking, with food hygiene level 2 and HACCP level 2 certification (or willingness to train).
  • Preferred: Previous bakery experience or a solid understanding of baking principles.
  • Clean and tidy appearance at all times, with a commitment to food safety.
  • Physical fitness required for a physically demanding role.
  • A friendly and team-oriented attitude to contribute to a positive work environment.
