Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team located in Chichester.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on plant, equipment, and building services to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and improving performance of machinery.
  • Use new equipment and technologies to maintain a working production environment, liaising with clients on requests for certain machinery PPMs.
  • Fault find on all types of machinery, providing electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance department.
  • Support others in the department in relation to health and safety, writing and following risk assessments, and completing required documentation.
  • Work on three-phase systems with voltages up to 440V, using mobile devices to accurately project and complete works from the CAFM maintenance system.
  • Liaise with onsite site services to manage building services-related issues, responding confidently and accurately as required.
  • Deputise for the shift leader during annual leave or sickness, working overtime as and when required, including nights and weekends.
Requirements:
  • A recognised or time-served apprenticeship in electrical and mechanical engineering.
  • Strong proven experience in manufacturing maintenance, with electrical competences and qualifications to a minimum of City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2.
  • Mechanical competences and qualifications to an acceptable standard, with good multi-skilled ability and experience working on 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic experience, with ability to fault find and PLC diagnostics and repair competencies.
  • NVQ qualifications to Level 2 in electrical and mechanical engineering, with ability to supervise contractors and write risk and method statements.
Desirable:
  • Working at height qualification, IPAF, and AP qualifications.
  • Experience of heavy engineering and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
