Job Overview:
The British Business Bank is seeking a Legal Counsel to join our Legal Team. In this role, you will provide legal support and oversight to the Bank and its product teams, focusing on regulatory issues and compliance matters.

Responsibilities:
- Providing legal advice and guidance to the Bank's product teams
- Managing external counsel and contributing to the activities of the wider Legal and Governance team
- Assisting in the provision of legal risk oversight and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need solid post-qualification experience in corporate, commercial, financial regulation, or funds and finance law. Good technical skills and knowledge of various products and issues impacting a complex financial services organisation are essential. Experience in areas like Subsidy Control, State aid, public law, freedom of information, data protection, judicial review, or procurement law would be an advantage.
