We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantitative Modelling Lead to join our Data Science team at Endeavor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the Pricing Models quant-team and creating pre-match and in-play sports betting forecasting models.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Pricing Models quant-team and ensure the successful implementation of forecasting models.
- Create pre-match and in-play model prototypes and communicate these clearly to the team for implementation.
- Mentor the team on best practices when it comes to creating forecasting pricing models.
- Establish testing standards for pricing accuracy and technical performance.
- Ensure coding principles are being implemented and the modelling process is well documented.
- Create yearly roadmaps with various milestones to monitor the progress of the team.
- Collaborate closely with product owners and software developers to move projects from idea to integration.
- Communicate with clients the key elements that govern the model.
- Report to the Director of Data Science on workflow and share findings with the Data Science team.
- 3+ years working experience as a Quant or Data Scientist in the betting industry.
- 3+ years of working experience in a managerial position of a Data Science team.
- A postgraduate qualification in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics or a closely related quantitative field.
- Advanced programming skills: statistical programming (R or Python), object-oriented programming (C# or Java) and SQL.
- Experience with various modelling techniques (e.g. Probability Distributions, GLMs, Monte Carlo Simulations, Bayesian Inference, Time-Series Analysis etc.).
- A demonstrable interest in developing forecasting models for sports.
- A PhD in the quantitative field.
- Experience with various supervised/unsupervised/reinforcement learning methodologies (e.g. Neural Networks, Random Forests, GBMs, SVMs etc.).
- Experience with database management tools.
- Experience with data visualisation platforms (e.g. Tableau, Qlik Sense, R-shiny etc.).
- Experience with version control platforms (e.g. GitHub, Gitlab, Bitbucket etc.).
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
