We are seeking a Senior Quality and Compliance Manager to join our team at the National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR) Co-ordinating Centre. This is a new role to the team so now is a great time to join us and help shape the role.
The NIHR funds, enables and delivers world-leading health and social care research that improves people's health and wellbeing and promotes economic growth. Our research helps turn discoveries into new or improved treatments, diagnostics, medical technologies and services. It provides those working in the NHS, public health, global health and social care with the evidence they need to better support patients, the public and people who need care.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing and overseeing our quality management system to ensure we are compliant with contractual requirements and statutory obligations. Key aspects of the role include:
- Ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and legislation by translating these into clear operational processes.
- Overseeing the gaining and maintaining of ISO accreditation for the organisation.
- To proactively identify compliance requirements and ensure compliance before commencement dates.
- Developing a robust set of checks and audits to maintain quality standards.
We are looking for someone with experience of managing quality and compliance of any auditable standard and has in-depth knowledge of risk and controls management. You will also be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to work and able to identify compliance requirements, build effective relationships with senior stakeholders and influence/ negotiate with them.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex issues relating to systems into easily understood language for non-technical stakeholders are essential. Knowledge of current statutory and regulatory requirements, ideally within the research management environment is desirable. Although not essential, knowledge of ISO9001/27001/22301 would be advantageous.
We offer a generous salary of £60,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
