Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate SEND Advisor to join our internal team, working collaboratively with colleagues across the group to drive awareness and support for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly dedicated professional to contribute to our mission of providing the highest standard of care and education for all children. As a SEND Advisor, you will oversee the implementation of SEND policies and procedures, liaising closely with senior management and external agencies to ensure seamless support for our children and families.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of legislation relating to children with Additional Learning Needs, specifically in relation to the SEND Code of Practice. You will also possess excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with parents, professionals, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • To develop and implement SEND strategies, enhancing our offering and driving inclusion across the group.
  • To work closely with Nursery SENDCos and team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their knowledge and provision for children with additional needs.
  • To coordinate and facilitate induction sessions, training, and evaluation of SEND knowledge and support across new settings and acquisitions.
  • To support Settings in implementing Kids Planet/local authority Individual Educational Plans, aligned with the Graduated Approach set out in the SEND Code of Practice.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and related legislation.
  • Proven experience in providing training and support teams regarding SEND in Early Years.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of child development and the ability to work effectively with parents and professionals.
