Cranfield University is seeking a highly experienced Programme Director to lead the Centre of Excellence in Energetic Materials (CoEEM). As a key member of the university's senior leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of the CoEEM vision, promoting awareness of the centre, and providing strategic leadership for the non-academic functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the CoEEM strategy in line with the university's overall objectives;
  • Manage the centre's operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and logistics;
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and academic institutions;
  • Project manage non-technical functions that promote the centre's activities and membership;
  • Collaborate with the Head of Centre for Defence Chemistry to drive forward CoEEM's research, training, test evaluation, and knowledge development in energetic materials.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual with a first/second-class degree in a science-related subject. Your background should include experience of managing multiple strands of activities in a higher education or scientific environment, as well as influencing and directing people to achieve desired outcomes. You should have strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, manage, and deliver projects effectively.
