Project Quantity Surveyor

As a Project Quantity Surveyor at Bloor Homes, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our building projects. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the financial aspects of construction, including cost estimation, budgeting, and payment management. You will work closely with our construction team to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Collate tender information and prepare cost breakdowns for construction projects.
Manage payment and draft budget estimate summaries for clients.
Prepare tender comparison sheets, including making recommendations for subcontract orders and negotiation with subcontractors.
Ensure new subcontractors are on the SMAS database and that their certification is up to date.
Carry out drawing take-offs and produce labour-only rates in liaison with the Senior Surveyor, Commercial Manager, and Construction Department.
Analyse, check, and prepare interim payments for approval in line with Authorisation Levels and Commercial Procedures.
Price non-standard client extras as required and liaise with the Commercial Manager and Construction Department to ensure costings are correct.
Carry out monthly valuations, including production of Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) and Cost to Complete Sheet (CTC), and attend valuation meetings.
Liaise with the Housing Association, including producing invoices and H & S packs as required, and attend necessary site meetings.
Regularly attend sites to provide assistance and support to site staff, including meetings with subcontractors.
Attend meetings necessary for the performance of your duties.
Comply with and uphold company policies and procedures.
Maintain all health and safety aspects associated with Covid-19.
Requirements:
Full UK driving licence.
Degree in Quantity Surveying.
Experience of building construction in a quantity surveying or project managing role.
Computer literate.
Company car.
