We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care and support to children and young adults with emotional behavioral difficulties and social/emotional mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care and support to our young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with our young people, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring the needs of our young people are met.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and supportive living environment, promoting the well-being and dignity of our young people.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children and young people, particularly those with emotional behavioral difficulties and social/emotional mental health needs.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with our young people and their families.
  • Knowledge of child development, behavior management, and therapeutic approaches.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with a commitment to collaborative working and continuous learning.
