We are seeking a dynamic Furniture Procurement Specialist to join our team at our Head Office in Plymouth.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our customer offer, working closely with the Head of Buying to enhance The Range's product range.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximize sales, margin & profitability in the furniture category
  • Lead a team to build long-term supplier relationships to deliver a successful product offer
  • Implement the product strategy and ensure the business meets customer needs
  • Monitor & review competitor information to ensure the product offering stays relevant in a changing market
  • Play a lead role in range reviews, supplier negotiations, promotions & pricing
  • Work with the cross-functional team to ensure great product availability and quality

Essential Skills & Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in buying and product sourcing
  • Knowledge of the furniture industry
  • Strong awareness of new and upcoming trends
  • Excellent understanding of the consumer and the marketplace
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • First-rate strategic and analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
