We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist for our construction industry team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing building supplies procurement from initial tendering through to delivery.

About the Job

In this role, you will work closely with suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure that all building materials, equipment, and services are procured efficiently and effectively. You will also be responsible for managing supplier contracts, optimizing costs, quality, and delivery.

The ideal candidate will have strong procurement skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of customer requirements. In return, we offer a competitive salary of up to £48,571 per annum, based on location in Greater London.

Main Duties
  1. Negotiate and source building materials, equipment, and services from suppliers.
  2. Manage supplier contracts to optimize costs, quality, and delivery.
  3. Provide compliant, competitive, and clear offers to clients.
  4. Support team members with expertise and manage the sales order backlog to meet KPIs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Procurement, supply chain, or international buying experience.
  • Additional fluency in French is advantageous (written and spoken).
  • Good knowledge of industry/equipment/suppliers related to infrastructure projects.
