We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to join our team at AWD online.

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the day-to-day Human Resources business basics across our organisation, working closely with the Head of Operational People Services and the L&D Team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment Cycle: Manage the complete operational recruitment cycle for vacant roles, including responses to vacancy queries, applications, interviews, selection and rejection, ensuring that candidates feel supported throughout the process.
  • New Employee Onboarding and Inductions: Support the onboarding of successful candidates, including issuing paperwork and conducting relevant checks, and arrange, administer and support the delivery of new starter inductions in conjunction with the L&D Team.
  • Communications: Prepare employee communications documents on various topics for distribution across the business and assist in the preparation and delivery of Employee Surveys.
  • Disciplinaries & Grievances: Conduct basic investigations in relation to employee grievances or disciplinaries and provide advice and support with more complex employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
  • Learning & Development: Assist employees with course booking/enrolments and assist the L&D, Talent & Performance Manager with the distribution and management of company-wide training programmes.
  • Apprenticeships: Support the administration of the apprentice programme.
  • Employee Lifecycle: Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle by providing routine advice and administration needed for promotions, transfers, family leave periods and exit, accurately input and update confidential personal data into the HR Database software, maintain employee Personnel Files ensuring adherence to the UK GDPR and Company Document Retention Policy, process administration connected to employee absence, performance and development, manage the organisation of employee service milestones, including long service letters, gifts and lunches.
  • General HR: Manage and respond to queries received into the HR email inbox, provide day-to-day operational support throughout the PTC Team, assist with general people related issues where required, undertake necessary data collating activities where required by Stakeholders, deal with reference requests from potential new employers of leavers, undertake important data input and collation activities, operational delivery of day-to-day activities related to the specialised areas of the PTC Department.

About You:

We are looking for someone with a CIPD Level 3 qualification, or equivalent experience, who has demonstrable generalist HR knowledge proven within a manufacturing environment. You will have previous experience in a similar role and be confident and competent in the use of information technology in day-to-day work, including standard Microsoft Office applications.
