We are currently recruiting for a Line Engineering Lead to drive operational excellence at our Lincoln Manufacturing site. This role will operate on a days-based contract, working Monday – Friday, and will support the line/area team, working on equipment maintenance and reliability plans, and driving performance improvement.

The Line Engineering Lead will be responsible for supporting the Line Operations Managers and Shift Management Teams, leading the area maintenance agenda to ensure maximum efficiency and optimal operation of the equipment. This role will also ensure smooth interface between the Shift Area Team and the site Maintenance Support Function.

The successful candidate will have technical engineering experience in a fast-paced environment, first-line leadership experience, and demonstrated leadership in the areas of engineering/operations, safety, and quality. They will also have good IT and presentation skills, and a flexible, 'can do,' attitude to role and duties.

The role will involve:

  • Demonstrating high good manufacturing practice (GMP) / housekeeping standards.
  • Making decisions in a way to sustain the foundation.
  • Leading the team - managing and inspiring employee performance and career direction and driving employee retention and commitment.
  • Building and leading a strong team to perform at peak, driving accountability and developing the team's ability to deliver the results on a 7-day/24-hour basis.
  • Providing coaching and teaching of the maintenance system processes to the ZO, MT and OTL team and ensuring that systems and processes are followed correctly to ensure accurate records and sustainability of the maintenance system.
  • Supporting the planning and scheduling of maintenance work.
  • Own the RCA process for the area/line; supporting the Line Operations Manager through the robust application of RCA processes and ensuring that all loss attributable to maintenance are fed back through the maintenance management system to ensure that changes are made to prevent future losses.
