Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Positive Behaviour Support Specialist to join our team at Livewell Southwest. This is a substantive Band 5 position that will play a vital role in providing functional behaviour assessment, data analysis, and care planning as part of a team delivering Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches to individuals with learning disabilities and their carers.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective PBS plans. They will also be responsible for providing training and supporting staff in delivering PBS approaches.

Main Responsibilities

  • To assist the Multidisciplinary Team in meeting its clinical responsibilities by collecting, analysing, and reporting data to agreed standards.
  • To use evidence and data to inform Positive Behaviour Support plans alongside colleagues in the MDT.
  • To contribute to the development of the Community Learning Disabilities Team.
  • To report regularly to the Group Manager/Clinical Lead for Positive Behaviour Support, including participation in caseload supervision, formal appraisals, and management supervision.
  • To engage in continuing professional development activities.
  • To offer flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and shifts as required.
  • To promote equality and inclusion by ensuring that services are accessible and non-discriminatory, considering the diverse needs of individuals, including those from different cultural, ethnic, and social backgrounds.
  • To hold a caseload of referred clients under the supervision of the Clinical Lead and, where appropriate, more senior clinicians within the PBS team.

Requirements

  • A relevant qualification or experience in a field related to Positive Behaviour Support.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

Salary Information

This is a Band 5 position, with an estimated salary range of £27,000 - £33,500 per annum, dependent on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, annual leave, and opportunities for professional development.
