Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician

We are seeking a highly skilled consultant to join our gynaecology and obstetrics team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust. As a specialist in this field, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to patients with gynaecological and obstetric conditions.

Our trust operates from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal. We also provide a range of community health care premises, including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.

As a consultant with our trust, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. You will also contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies within the trust.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within six months of the date of the AAC. You will also require MRCOG qualifications and experience in general obstetrics and gynaecology equivalent to that required for a UK CCT. Active involvement in clinical audit and a sound understanding of risk management are also essential.
