We are seeking an experienced actuary to join our team at The Actuary Group, providing expert advice on longevity and reinsurance matters. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with clients and stakeholders to develop and implement effective strategies.

With a strong background in actuarial science and experience working within the Actuarial Function of a UK Life assurer, you will be responsible for leading projects related to longevity, assumption setting, and capital models. You will also build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, take charge on various thought leadership areas, and conduct reinsurance pricing activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading projects on longevity, assumption setting, and capital models
  • Building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Taking charge on various thought leadership areas
  • Conducting reinsurance pricing activities and negotiating terms
  • Working with the Origination team and pension schemes to design and administer capital efficient solutions
  • Overseeing reinsurance treaty operations and collateral arrangements
  • Managing/mentoring junior members of the team
  • Overseeing technical aspects of models and experience analysis
  • Contributing to the risk management function from a BPA perspective

Key Skills:

  • Capital modeling and profit testing
  • Mortality analysis and assumption setting
  • UK Defined Benefit Pensions and reinsurance structures
  • Excellent communication skills

Salary Range: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
