About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher, Tutor or TA to join our team at 1st Staff Limited, a leading alternative provider working nationwide with specialist staff helping students from 4-25 years of age with both education and therapeutic needs.



The Role

As a tutor, you will be required to deliver tuition sessions in Maths and English to help these students gain the confidence and level required to attain the qualifications needed and potentially return to further education.



Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tuition sessions in Maths and English to students with special educational needs
  • Cater lesson plans to meet the individual needs of each student
  • Build rapport with students and demonstrate a nurturing and supportive nature
  • Work with a range of SEN/SEMH and challenging behaviour
  • Be adaptable and ready to work in a variety of classroom roles, both indoors and outside according to the individual needs

Requirements

  • Confidence working with a range of SEN/SEMH and challenging behaviour
  • Good communication skills and ability to build rapport with students
  • Previous experience of working with children who have special educational needs
  • Positive attitude and willingness to adapt to the needs of each student
