  • Support the development and implementation of pricing models and risk governance frameworks to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive business decisions through data-driven insights and actuarial advice.
  • Develop and maintain pricing tools and models to enhance our pricing sophistication and data quality.
  • Lead strategic projects to drive competitive advantage and improve business performance.
  • Work closely with underwriting, portfolio management, and data analytics teams to ensure analytical tools lead to improved decision making.
About the Department & Team:

The actuarial team at Liberty Specialty Markets evaluates business performance and provides a clear, risk-based view for making decisions on business strategy and risk mitigation. We collaborate with other functions in the actuarial support of data & analytics, capital management, exposure management, and reinsurance purchasing & strategy.

Requirements:
  • Nearly/newly Qualified Actuary
  • Relevant work experience in the general insurance, reinsurance, or consultancy field
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills, communicating with a range of internal and external clients
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills required
  • Strong skills with practical experience in Excel, SQL, Python, R, PowerPivot, PowerBI, and DAX
