Pet Treats Quality Assurance Specialist

Pet treats wholesale is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety across our operations.
About Us
We are one of the UK's largest manufacturers of dog treats, aiming for SALSA accreditation. We're looking for an experienced professional to help us achieve this milestone by maintaining high food safety, quality control, and hygiene standards.
The Role
This position involves working across multiple sites to support production, packing, and warehouse teams. You'll be instrumental in developing and maintaining quality assurance and food safety procedures, championing best practices, and driving continuous improvement.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and audit quality and food safety procedures
- Support implementation and adherence to quality standards across all sites
- Champion high standards of food safety, hygiene, and product quality
- Create and maintain product specifications and documentation related to quality and food safety
- Regularly sample and test products to ensure they meet required quality standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in a technical or quality assurance role within the food production industry
- Degree-level education, preferably in a relevant field (e.g., Food Science, Quality Assurance, or similar)
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications

Earnings Estimate
The salary range for this position is estimated to be around £35,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
