About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Engineer to join our team at Optos. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative electronic solutions for our retinal imaging products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop analogue/digital electronic solutions for new retinal imaging products, adhering to the design control process.
  • Assess and improve electronic performance and reliability in our existing product range.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to drive innovation and deliver cross-functional design solutions.
  • Develop and execute test methods for hardware components, modules, and systems.
  • Provide customer support and creative solutions to problems encountered with the product.
Requirements
  • Degree in electronic engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in analogue/digital electronics design and analysis using modelling (Cadence and Xilinx) and experimental/prototyping methods.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of ISO and FDA Medical Device Design Control processes.
  • Mentoring/leadership experience or strong potential/natural next step.
