About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in St Austell. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting customers with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, and mental health conditions to live the lives they choose.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene as needed
  • Administer medication as required
  • Support with meal preparation and cooking
  • Accompany customers to medical appointments
  • Engage in social activities and support independent skills
  • Assist with domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry
  • Maintain accurate records and update care plans as necessary
  • Stay up-to-date with training and professional development
Requirements
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent record-keeping and administrative skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings
  • Ability to follow support plans and risk assessments
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills in English
  • Willingness to achieve the Care Certificate
