Job Title: QSHE Manager - Compliance and Risk Specialist

Job Summary:

Aspire Jobs is delighted to be working with a well-established family-run business that is seeking an experienced QSHE Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the management system, identifying and implementing initiatives to improve it, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the management system and identify and implement initiatives to improve it, including all procedures and processes.
  • Carry out and offer support/advice on risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH.
  • Maintain quality, safety, and environmental systems, implement, audit, and update all associated documentation to achieve compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
  • Monitor, audit, and report on QSHE performance and provide feedback and assurance to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve the business integrated Management system to underpin QSHE and operating standards.
  • Maintain a risk register, reviewing QSHE risks and escalating where appropriate.
  • Maintain a legal register to ensure compliance and relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Support the training and development of all staff to ensure awareness and understanding of QSHE standards.
  • Implement and monitor emergency management plans across all sites and ensure a robust line of escalation exists.
  • Ensure appropriate resources are provided to support a compliant business and identify any systemic weaknesses.
  • Advice, guide, support, and promote awareness and coach personnel with implementation of the company's policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all essential tasks assigned to you are completed daily, weekly, and monthly as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous QSHE Managerial experience.
  • A recognised safety and environmental qualification (diploma level or equivalent).
  • Hold an auditor's qualification and have experience in ISO 9001, 14001, 18001.
  • Have a NEBOSH diploma in occupational Health & Safety Level 3 – preferred.
  • Have a NVQ Level 4/5 Occupational Safety and Health practice.
  • Ideally have IMEA (Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment) although this is not essential.

Working Environment:

The successful candidate will be based at the company's Poole office, but this role will require travel to other locations in the South West.
