Electrical Engineer Job Description

Gibson Search Careers is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical solutions for hazardous areas, ensuring compliance to ATEX, Ex, and IEC Ex standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems using AutoCAD, defining enclosure layouts and population.
  • Specify test requirements and ensure compliance to relevant standards.
  • Integrate alternative components, such as Ex certified primary traction batteries, into vehicles, taking into account extreme space constraint limitations.
  • Develop project specification documents and drawings.
  • Conduct risk assessments and produce paperwork to support certification.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of electrical cabling for automotive, industrial, or marine applications.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical wiring and design.
  • Ability to select components for integration and specify test requirements.
  • Understanding of electrical/mechanical systems and their applications.
