At the Institute of the Motor Industry, we are seeking a skilled Automotive Calibration Specialist to join our team. This role will focus on developing and calibrating OBD strategies for engine management systems.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and at least 2 years of experience in automotive calibration. A strong understanding of engine management systems and on-board diagnostics (OBD) is essential.

This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement changes and improvements to the OBD system. The successful candidate will also conduct emissions testing and validation of OBD systems.

Salary: £60,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and calibrate OBD strategies for engine management systems
  • Analyze and interpret data from vehicle testing and diagnostic tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and improvements to the OBD system
  • Conduct emissions testing and validation of OBD systems
