Manufacturing Engineer CADCAM Specialist

Senior Aerospace Weston is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer - CADCAM to join our team in Lancashire, England. As a key member of our Engineering Team, you will be responsible for developing and creating methods of manufacture, jig & tool design, CNC Programming, and automation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with experience in Catia V5, Hypermill, and Vericut. You will be responsible for developing machine tool programs, designing fixtures, and liaising with customer technical contacts.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Defining methods of manufacture
  • Developing tooling strategies
  • Designing fixtures with a focus on foolproofing
  • Liaising with customer technical contacts
  • Developing and proving out CNC programs using relevant software

Additionally, you will be expected to participate in Continuous Improvement events, apply LEAN manufacturing tools and techniques, and identify cost reduction and productivity improvement opportunities.

Requirements include a Time Served Skilled Engineer or HNC qualification, strong communication skills, and the ability to work unsupervised. Project planning and project management experience is also desirable.
