About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Field Services Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Yunex Traffic. As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in the installation and maintenance of traffic signal assets, including controllers, ancillary equipment, and highways systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with experienced installation teams to learn how to install traffic signal assets, including controllers, ancillary equipment, and highways systems.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of traffic signal assets, including electrical testing and pre-commissioning activities.
  • Liaise with customers and other contractors to provide clear and precise updates, while also recording job requirements for our clients.
  • Undertake and successfully complete mandatory National Highways Sector Scheme training requirements.
  • Ensure the safety of colleagues, clients, and the general public by being involved in the completion of electrical testing and pre-commissioning activities, reviewing drawings and specifications, and completing periodic inspections with electrical testing.

  • Be IT literate; able to use Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Minimum Educational Requirements

  • 5 GCSEs at 4 or above, including Maths and English (or Functional Skills/Apprenticeship equivalent), or 3 A Levels (or BTEC equivalent) at grade C or above.
