Bayesian Machine Learning Postdoctoral Position

We are seeking a talented Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to live projects at AstraZeneca's Cambridge centre. As part of our Quantitative Biology group, you will work on predictive Bayesian machine learning models for drug toxicity.

This position offers a comprehensive training programme, including drug discovery and development, and support from a leading academic advisor. The goal is to develop your career in a global pharmaceutical environment.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Excellent programming skills in R or Python
  • Knowledge of Bayesian statistics and software like Stan and PyMC3
  • Interest in life sciences

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £50,000-£60,000 per annum, depending on experience. The role is based in Cambridge, UK, with a possible 1-year extension after the initial 2-year contract.
